Binding Loads

When anchoring down a vehicle that has large rings on the
hull/chassis, what's the preferred method of binding?

Do chains with screw type shackles attached to the vehicle and chain
good to go? That assumes you've tightened everything up on the other
end with ratchet or lever type binders on the other end making it all
snug.

Assuming 4 attachment points on the cargo, would 4 from the front and
2 from the back be good?

2 Front points forward and rearwards with binders on the front
pulling against the rearwards chains (keeps the vehicle from moving
forwards no matter what.

2 rear points with chain also under tension from the front binders.

I understand this would require a little bit of fiddling of chain
lengths to get it to all work, but would it be more secure than hooks
and ratchet binders?
