Those 886s were all shipped down from Alaska for disposal. We bought one for
$500 from DRMO (still have it), the vehicle was mint except for the forklift
damage. Rob Sutherland drove it back up I-5 anyway, he said the vibration
was better than sex!
Speaking of Fort Lewis; does anyone on the list have a Humvee automatic
transmission dipstick and tube? GL have been selling the trannys complete
except for these bits. Last week they sold a bunch of CUCV M1008 rear diffs
requiring EUCs! This week 6.2 diesel engines in generally dispicable
condition also requiring an EUC!! Not worth the hassle to bid on this junk,
but if you bid on a complete CUCV you don't need an EUC. No one you speak to
at GL or DRMO has a clue why there are so many anomalies in the
classification of different items.
Cheers!
Ian
