I am trying to help someone estimate value on a 1942 Ford Jeep. Description
is as follows:

No major rust on body, though some spots here and there
Painted a civilian color of blue(ish)
Wheels are civilian with civilian tires
Jeep has been in the same family since the early 50's and ran when it was
last parked (I know, I know, you hear that a lot)
Seats are military as is most of the rest of the vehicle
Glass is intact
Engine and drive train is all present

I would have to call it about 80%+ military as far as parts go.
The information off of the Jeep - on a data plate on the glove box door
reads
1/4 ton 4x4; Ford GPW; SN 20322 (7?) I'm not sure I'm seeing a 7 or not.
Date 4-16-42

There are no photos at this time. If anybody can help to set a ballpark
price for this vehicle it would be greatly appreciated.

I looked it up in the Standard Catalog of Military Vehicles, 2nd edition and
placed it as a 5, based on the category description. But I am new to this
sort of activity.

Many thanks to those on the list for any assistance!
