  You would not be seeing a 7 if this is actually a 1942. GPW # 203227 would be a unit produced in May, 1944.

   Date or the Sn. on this data plate may not be what you have posted.

      The original motor for this unit, GPW-20322 was produced on April 16, 1942 so the DOD of the vehicle would have to have been at least three to nine days later. Motors were assembled at least three days before they were needed on the assembly lines.

   Check to see if the motor and frame numbers match this data plate. This is the most important item in determining a GPW's value.

ALL GPW's had matching motor, frame and data plate numbers when built.
