While we are on the subject of 16.5 inch wheels ....

I have a 79 Ford 1 ton single rear wheel truck, it has 16.5 inch rims which
are getting hard to find tires for that don't cost $200 each.

What is the best way to convert this truck to 16" wheels? Did they also
put 16" wheels on the older Ford 1 tons. Did Chevy or Dodge use the same
bolt pattern with 16" wheels?

Any ideas would be appreciated, as I currently don't even know what to ask
a junkyard guy for.

Thanks,

Dave
