Hi fellow listers.
I have a Teledyne turbine engine model RGT3600 375 HP made in
4-88. Mine came from Aberdeen MD DRMO and was used for
instructional purposes. I just saw another one on Ebuy that is on
the west coast and it got me interested as I never had seen
another one till now. The Ebuy one has a turbo and generator and
is about 6 years newer than mine. The guy said he heard that it
was a truck engine. Was it a clean air replacement for the deuce
or 5 ton? Or was it a prototype engine for the Stewart &
Stevenson new series truck? Or what???? Does anybody have
any info on this one? Dr. Deuce?? Bjorn??? I assume that it was
a project that didn't work out, but I am wondering if my deuce would
top 56 MPH with one of these whiners under the hood. Tom Bauer
warned me once about increasing horsepower in order to get more
top speed once. All joking aside does anyone have any hearsay or
first hand knowledge of this whining beast? It would really make a
loud Deuce. It would be the whistler's mother or something. I
have no connection with the Ebuy engine other than "Gee I've got
one of them". Anybody else in Mil-veh land have one too? Go to:

Thank you,
