Further on 5 ton steering fluid problem

I neglected to mention that I am using ATF in there. The LO calls for
OE/HDO 10, which I take to mean 10 weight motor oil, in civillian
jargon. I also see it listed as transmission fluid. I know people that
have used either one for years with no problems, but I'd like to find
out which one goes in there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Jim
