Made by GMC, has a GMC 6 cyl. 302 gas engine hooked up to a Hydramatic
automatic transmission. The M135 is the six-wheel arrangment, where the
M211 is the 10-wheeler. Rear cargo compartment on the M135 is a little
inconvenient because of the 'wheel wells' where the M211 is unobstructed.
In my opinion they have more room in the cab than an M35, but if you plan on
using it for general running around - buy shares in OPEC cuz the gas
consumption is something else. Given the choice between an M135 and an M35,
I'd go with the M35. I like the M35's diesel, the standard transmission,
and the better turning-circle/maneuverability (based on what I use them for
anyway) and a few other things. The M135s I've driven are also horribly
slow hill-climbers no matter what you do and I'd always thought them
somewhat underpowered across the board. Love to try one with a standard
transmission one of these days to see if there's any improvement. Sure
would be easier on your neck.

(Man but those things shift hard when you're putting the boots to them...)
