I'm assuming you're looking at bringing in armored vehicles. If so, those come in on a form 6 (5330.3A) as an "implement of war."

Keep in mind that ATF considers the smoke dischargers on Ferrets and other Brit MV's to be classified as "Destructive Devices." Also, if you have a Browning .30 or other MG dummy gun on it, you probably can't bring that, even if it is deactivated, and definitely not if it has an intact right side plate on it.

As for "friendly contacts", ATF isn't exactly known for being friendly.
