Haiti

Howdy Folks,

I'm back from Haiti. The HMMWV is there working very hard. Equipped with
50 cal MG's, they stop traffic on main roads and look for "bad things".
Usually 6 in a road block.

Haitian people appreciate the US military being there. They don't want us
to leave and are hoping the Americans stay after the initial 90 day
deployment...nice to be appreciated someplace in this world!

The French were driving little things that didn't look very
"substantial"....kind of like mini M151's. The Haitians don't like the
French being there at all.

Pilot's are getting lots of flight time....CH-46's, UH-1H's and UH-60's in
the air constantly. Kinda funny when you think about the CH-46 and Hueys,
they're a lot older then the kids driving them :>)
