Talk about a project. The Midland Branch of the Glider Pilot Regimental
Association http://www.assaultgliderproject.co.uk/ is restoring a Dakota
and building a Horsa from Scratch, looks like it will be a Static Museum
Display though, it won't be flown....

I picked up a VET on my EMS wagon last winter that was a glider pilot during
the war...asked me if I knew what a Horsa Glider was.....He piloted them
Normandy and Market Garden.....He....related every detail I think is
possible on the things.....really nice gentleman.
