hmmmm Bravo company bumper #125 - sure of that.. that's a big number too...
Special Forces Group - Airborne (SFGA or SFG(a))
it's a question on whether 82 or 7 was the major command
7th would put it post 1960 (when 77th became 7th), odd to have such a large
bumper number for a small unit
so I am going with it's likely 82nd Airborne (82nd SFGA) and likely 3rd
battalion 7th Parachute Infanty Regiment
Bravo Company, vehicle number 125

but bumper numbers are often a pain in the arse =P

by the bumperette it might be 3rd of the 7th SFG(A) as well
but I was under the impression that a company of 7th special forces
shouldn't have 125ish vehicles

So I am going with it being a sub command of 82nd Airborne, likely a
Parachute Infantry Regiment.
Fits the vehicle too, since most command vehicles have low bumper numbers,
like a Jeep, in heavy units.

Interested to see what other people have to say about this.

Subject: [MV] M38 Markings Revisited

Last year I sent a request to the list about the markings I found on my M38.
I received several very good replies from members with good information.
Unfortunately the responses were lost when my hard drive crashed. So I am
re-posting the question and hoping I get one of the people who provided the
great information to respond again.

Pass. Side Driver Side
Front bumper: 82-3-7 SFGA B125

Bumperetts: B125 3-7
                                                                  SFGA

Anyone with information can reply directly to my e-mail address. Thanks in
advance for the help.
