You also might check your local tractor/construction
equipment dealer. NAPA might even be able to order
you a 24V light.

Do the big rigs run on 24V? If so, a truck stop would
probably have them.

In series, the current is the same anywhere in the
circuit. The voltage is divided. If the 2 lamps had
identical resistance, then they would drop equal
amounts of voltage and be the same brightness.
