Good Morning Gentlemen .
                                              With reference to disabling a
vehicle by disconnecting the battery . It is easier and often preferable to
fit the switch in the negative or frame connection , this can usually be
done in or on the battery compartment and makes hot wiring pointless . There
is available a switch that fits on the battery post and incorporates a
switch making mods to the vehicle unnecessary .
Most cut-outs have removable keys , some that can be removed with the switch
on or off making the mod almost unnoticeable .
BUT REMEMBER , if your vehicle has electronic equipment that requires a
constant feed to hold memory then simply have a fused bypass round the
switch AND plenty of spare fuses ,5Amps should suffice for most applications
.
Any good auto electrical supplier should be able to help !
Fuel cut-outs will not prevent the vehicle being moved , it just won`t go
far !
WHO are you trying to STOP --- the idiot or the determined thief ?
An old adage states that ----- make anything foolproof and only a fool will
want to use it !

Hope this is of use Noel .
