Dear List,
I have great pleasure in annoucing that after many long
winter months we have now completed our replica Quad 50 Guntruck here in
England, we berlive that this is the only Quad replica in the world ( if
this is incorrect please let me know)
The Vehicle is a M35 2.5 ton non turbo truck with the Quad 50 mount mounted
on the rear bed. The replica isn't based on any particular Quad 50 truck
such as Nancy but is a representation of a Guntruck from the Vietnam War.
All four 50cals are Gas firing and a M60 mounted behind the cab simulates
machine gunfire. The turret traverses and elevates under its own power as
well. The vehicle also has full working radios and they can be used to
contact our other replica Guntruck called Iron Butterfly which is similar to
the real Iron Butterfly.
