Is that even possible? I thought the M43 had a longer chassis and
different drivetrain (or some other bits in back). There seems to be no
problem getting one for $2500-$4500, so why go through all the work and
destroy a M37 when a good fixeruper can be had for a fairly low price?

BTW, I have a parts M43 if anybody is interested. The back is completely
shot (burned up in a fire), but the front end is in very nice shape.
This is a Canadian M43 so engine bits, which all look pretty decent, are
not compatible with US made M37s and M43. The vehicle was apparently in
very good running condition before it was parked next to a barn that
decided to spontaneously revert back to carbon :-)

I'm located in mid Maine and $150 is all I ask for this to be hauled
away. The fenders alone are worth more than that AFAIK. It is easily
accessible. Anybody who has serious interest can email me for more details.
