RE: [MV] MV support for Lance Armstrong ( very much on topic of course)

Interesting:

My wife has been glued to the TV watching these silly fools riding thru
France, While I can not support any sort of grand activity put on by any
nation other than the United States. If it is an important race, whey is
it not held in the US??? (Insert ugly American flames here), I none the
less watched some of it while in the house.

I could have sworn that I saw some OD, but the pix were too fast to
confirm it.

Hankie
(Can we export the DNC and Kerry to France?)

Mandatory Ronzo content: Ronzo popped over on Saturday and equates the
race to watching OD paint dry~!

Delighted that Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France for the 6th time,
I
wonder how many of you noticed on both French and British news ( ergo
probably syndicated across the rest of the world) the Dodge WC52 and
jeep
racing alongside him across a cornfield in the early miles of yesterdays
stage into Paris. Flying the US flag and full of jolly excited people
cheering him along it was an unusual use for collectors military
vehicles,
then of course I am reminded that in the post war Tours, the race
caravan
actually used a fleet of gaily painted wartime jeeps as support vehicles
and
our old chum Peter Gray, founder of the hobby was himself a Tour de
France
motorcycle outrider in the 1950's - riding Harley WLA's. An
uncomfortable
experience as any WLA rider will tell you I am sure.

In the TV coverage of an earlier stage I saw a couple of CCKW's by the
side
of the road.

NIGE (big fan of Mr Armstrong)
