Is that the Kettenkrad that the seller has a starting price of
US$67,000?

If so, this is a re-listing, the asking price is interesting...........

Only someone who knows what they are looking at can tell a genuine
WW2 KK from a post-war farm tractor KK as there are many supposedly
WW 2 KKs and parts that are actually post-war production, reproduction
parts (some of them atrocious copies that just plain
don't fit) on the market.
I am not saying this vehicle is not a genuine WW2 one, but that it pays
to do one's homework rather than jump on a sale based on 2 pictures on
the internet, regardless of how sure the seller may be of its history.

If someone is prepared to pay that sort of money for a KK of unproven
date of manufacture and/or military service then well and good.

The hull number, which is not stated, is a good place to start, we have
people on this list who can soon look up the date of manufacture, they
can also state how to tell an early one from a late one from a post-war
one.

Since when did the Germans use the term "Para"?

Presumably that means paint and markings?

The 3rd Fallschirmjager Regt did NOT belong to the 2nd FJ Division.

II Korps
Formed in France in late 1943 from Division Meindl(**). The Korps raised
and trained 3rd and 5th Fallschirmjaeger Division. The Korps was
virtually
destroyed in the Falaise Pocket in 1944. The Korps was rebuilt and
attached
to 1st Fallschirm-Armee for the rest of the war.

It is quite easy to mix up "Regiment" and "Division" unit designations.
