Sorry for the late info, but there is an event this weekend commemorating the USN amphib trng base on Solomons Island, MD. I attended one of these about 5 years back and found it interesting. (Primarily because of the liberty ship. No liberty ship this time.)

If you are within a hundred miles or so you might find it worth your time. The wx will be great and Solomon's is a beautiful place.
