Just use a combo hitch with ball setup that replaces the Pintle hitch .

Subject: [MV] CUCV receiver hitch mods

Has anyone come up with a way of adding a frame mounted receiver hitch up
under the CUCV rear bumper without removing all the pintle and tow ring
bracketry, or welding to those brackets?

I would like to add the additional towing options by having the receiver,
but don't want to loose the military hookup capability in the process. I
was hoping that some of you had already found/developed/tripped across that
magic bolt on receiver assembly that would simply slip into/between all the
existing bolted on stuff up under there to the frame.

I can do the welded on style, but that eliminates flexibility of changing my
mind without a lot of extra effort following it!

Any suggestions, recommendations?

Thanks

John Doherty
