damaged packages

Sonny-
    A lot of times you can badger a shipper into doing something about a
claim if you say that the package was accepted, therefore it was packed
correctly. It should be the responsibility of the driver to say if
something is incorrectly packaged and refuse it if it is.
    If I have am leery of something getting damaged, I have the driver sign
a little thing on the invoice copy that says the item was packed securely
and correctly.
    It works for UPS and FEDEX.
