where to connect heater hoses?

Hi all, I haven't posted in a while. Did have the deuce in a local parade,
carrying the Methodist kids' bell choir- not sure if that was more of a
treat for them or me!

Winter is coming, and I have acquired a hot water heater kit (to heat the
cab) for the deuce- 1970 turbo multifuel. Problem is, only very sketchy
instructions came with the kit. I cannot find much info on my CD with deuce
manuals.

So can anyone 1) direct me to the right section of the CD or 2) scan and
email directions or 3) just tell me where to connect the hoses at the
engine?

A diagram with the kit shows one hose coming off near the stat, the second
from the LEFT side of the engine. The only diagram I found on the CD shows
both hoses coming from the right front of the engine.

I'm guessing the return hose connects to the water pump, just above the
alternator. Does the other hose come off just to the engine side of the stat
housing? If so there are three pipe plugs here, does it make any difference
which? Finally, any tips for removing VERY rusty plugs?

Thanks again to all the contributors, and God bless! Gene
