. An old deuce generator and a 1 horse AC motor?

Simple maths :- 24vX50a = 1200 Watts 750 W = 1Hp

allow poor conversion factor for this arrangement , friction , heat losses,
Etc SO use a 2.2 Kw {3 Hp } motor for this application .
The belt ratio will ,for a 1500 rpm motor need to be around 4-5 to 1

The idea works well , I`ve done this .

BUT NEVER run an alternator without some load as you will instantly fry the
regulator . The batteries hold down the voltage , without them , it goes off
the scale .
