I did read the story and all of the follow ups. They were all southern boys. I believe the original story was about MV's. Specifically, going in harms way in dead lined MV's. Is that common? Another complaint was max speed of 40 mph. Is that really that slow? I mean, we aren't talking big rigs on the interstate here. Probably 5 tons older than their drivers. A third point was going on a high risk mission without escort. We will probably never know enough of the details to make a decision on their guilt or innocence and we sure won’t learn it on the news. We could discuss the MV’s involved over there. I have seen trucks that don’t seem to be in as good of shape as trucks they have sold at DRMO.

As a father, if my son was over there I would want him hauling cargo on a trailer towed with a M1 tank with something 10x better guarding him. As a taxpayer I already think they have spent too much over there.

Seems like something like the dragon wagon of WW II would be in use hauling cargo in high risk areas. We don't have anything like that in our current inventory do we?

I spent the day at Fort Carson..in 2 different Motor Pools....talked with a
lot of Troops...
from Pvt to Col...
Guys..the troubles over there are not new...they have been around
forever..and they will not go away. It is not the Supply System..It is not
the Commanders..It is not the Commander in Chief...
It is "politics" in general... Where was the unit from.. The State it is
from will tell you a lot...
Where are they from guys.?? I did not even read the story, because I know it
is a "liberal" PRESS sending it around the country to make our Chief look
bad... I had mails from IRAQ..several of them..and all say the same.. The
Supply System is alright as is..could be a bit better -- but it is not a
problem to mutiny over...The TROOPS are getting what they need...to fight
the terrorist "troops" they are fighting - who have nothing. They are in
rags..but fight like hell. We have the best damn trained Army in the
world...just too bad we don't have enough sense to take care of problems at
a Company level - and be done with it.. What happened to the freak who threw
the grenade into the tent.?? He is still alive... Not on my watch ... top
