Hi Mike
If the unit has the proper lube and still exhibits these symptoms it could
be a couple of things that would normally indicate a rebuild. I would just
find a nice takeout and throw it in. I see them all the time for 50-75
bucks at shows from demilled mutts.

Subject: [MV] M151 transmission problem

Hello from Atlanta GA 30306. My newly revived '72A2 has difficulty
shifting gears, and pops out of 3rd. Is this an owner fix/rebuild item, or

should I pull trans. and it and take it to a rebuilder, or find a take out
that seems to work and install it myself? Thank you for the wisdom of the
List!

Regards,

Mike Nichols
