40's!!! That's a freaking walk in the park!

I've been snow-camping in Truckee when the temperature dropped below -10. That's right Negative 10. The Beer froze - you had to hold it over the fire to drink it like a slushy. Food was... well ya had to hit it with a hammer and suck on the broken bits.

MV related: The CUCV wouldn't start easily. (Took at least 10 minutes). The coolant froze and there were icicles hanging off the engine. Fun. I get chills just thinking about it.

BS'n weather? Are you kidding? Here where I live the Humane Society gives
warnings to homeowners about exposure to animals left outside in the 40's. Even
extra homeless shelters open up when it gets below 55. Sad that a place like
this exists. Even sadder is that I can't take 30 degree weather any more. On a
more MV note, I've got all my winter gear packed up, I'm headed to GA in my
deuce this weekend to get a trailer, supposed to be in the 40s at night! Brrr!
