I say put a turbo on it with a big blower :-)

Seriously I think he would be better off with a turbo to get the quick
pick-up speed to get out of an ambush. Once you're up to 60 mph you should
already be a decent distant away in most cases from an ambush. I'm not sure
if an extra 5 or 10 mph will help at a distance.
