`Hi Mike ,
Long while since I did this but will try to explain !
First fit the gasket / or rubber surround to the glass . In the slot round
the rubber that fits over the frame run your string round, it must be strong
and not too thin , the light gauge starter nylon cord used on buzz saws /
chain saw, is ideal . Overlap the two loose ends of string . You will need
two people , one inside the vehicle one out , to hold and push the assembly
against the frame . Slosh soapy water round the rubber and frame . Offer
up to the frame and if possible set frame edge in bottom run of the slot in
the rubber , this will help hold and position things . Now from inside
carefully pull the string AT RIGHTANGLES from the glass / rubber , this will
pull the rubber over the lip of the frame and the glass will , as you work
round , find it`s own position , sometimes a few good thumps will help
settle it .
This should only take a few mins , but keep the rubber wet !

Good luck Noel
