This "scales" and inspections stuff reminds me of one..
I was told that in MINOT, ND...there was a huge amount of 151A2 stuff in a
local wrecking yard..
I went up there, loaded up the trailer...and was "way" overloaded..with
about 15 engines and so much stuff I forget.... Turned out I was 4000 pounds
overloaded.
As I crossed State lines..and went by scales - I had some pretty scary looks
from the local State Guys... But, they never did stop me....just gave me the
"looks"...
My co-driver wanted to hide under the dash.... I have a feeling they though
it was a US Government "haul"..
I got home alright..no stops..and no problems.! Gene
