More on souping up a MUTT

Guys,
The guy that had the work done on the MUTT has more money than he knows what to do with.
The restoration work cost over $10,000 because in addition to the original restoration, he switched
from a soft top with a ROPS kit to a hard top, then back to a soft top with ROPS kit. So drilled
holes had to be filled then painted then redrilled again etc. Then there was another few thousand
dollars in souping up work so we figure that the jeep has about $14,000 in it.
So if a guy comes into your shop with a jeep and says, "put a V8 in it then call me when you're
done" wadda ya gonna do, turn him down because it ain't gonna be "stock"? As R. Lee Ermey would
say, "I DON'T THINK SO!".
Some guys asked about fuel....I went out and got a 5 gal. can of aviation 100LL (low lead) and we
put that in on top of a few gallons of regular but it didn't seem to make much difference.
My friend tweaked the spark up and back then set it to where it ran the best during "performance"
tests.
I just thought you guys might be interested in the project.
