I am reminded of the classic picture in Normandy 1944 of a pile of broken
down vehicles with British soldiers feverishly taking off parts - encouraged
by the sign proclaiming " you may take parts from here!
A small version of it is here... http://www.milweb.net/Pics/motorpool.jpg
sorry its poor quality

Totally agree with the SMG!!! In a way, those soldiers
are like us, we're all mil-parts scroungers too and it
ticks me off they are in that much trouble for doing
their jobs under very difficult/dangerous
circumstances.

"W" ought to step in on this one and cut these
soldiers some slack, afterall he got em into it. I'm
sending a fax to the White House.

(Fax's are the most effective way of petitioning an
elected official, email is the worst, according to my
reliable gov. sources.)

Let me remind everyone here of something you are
missing. There "is" a war going on over there. There
are young men and women being killed every day... For
what ??? For asking for it.?? For not being able to
have their equipment in running order.?? For "not
asking" some idiot if they could
remove parts from abandoed vehicles..?? In a combat
zone - when a vehicle is left un-attended -- IT IS
ABANDONED ! Rule number one is to make it un-usable !
That means either a THERMITE Grenade , or remove parts
from it. THAT IS THE RULE !! ...
