I wonder why they bother with having that. Here the Class A or B CDL is
good for Comm or Non-comm. Just for Comm. Activities you then have to get
the medical cards, log books etc. Funny they have an exception in the law
that RV's regardless of the size and air brakes and all that, as well as
Fire Trucks are exempt and can be driven with the regular Class D License
used for under 26000 lbs vehicles. Most Fire Departments including the one
I worked for get the guys the CDL anyway for show for liability, but they do
not have to.

Some states have non-commercial Class B and A licenses.
