answer this mystery about HEMTT in GL auctions...

Okay, went down to Camp Lejuene this past week to pick up a generator
set for a friend of mine. While I was down there loading up, I noticed
some of the HEMTT cabs strapped down to pallets for auction. Now, this
may seem strange to me, but I have kept an eye on these things for a
while, and in the past 6 years, I have yet to see an auction selling a
complete HEMTT unit anywhere (course, I haven't seen all the auctions).
I see a lot of these cabs and forward power units sold surplus, but no
complete ones. Now, I did ask the guy who ran the yard at GL in
Lejeune, who told me he has sold 10 or 15 of the complete HEMTT units in
the past 10 years. I don't doubt him, but then again, where are they?
Why would the military surplus out the cabs, usually when you buy a
surplus cab it's attached to its frame, and sold as a truck. Where are
all the surplus HEMTTs going? Just curious...
