5820 is the supply class
401 is the specific radio
-10 is operator
-20 is unit
-30 is direct support
-40 is general support
-20P is unit level parts manual

-34 is direct and general support

-14 & P is operator unit direct and general support and part list all in one
manual

there is usually an index in each manual that list all the relevant manuals for
the piece of eq.

Subject: [MV] Tech Manual Help

HI Everyone.

I know its probably been gone over before, but can someone tell me how
the numeric listings for manuals are setup.

Example: If I have TM 11-5820-401-20-2 Org Maintenance Manual (radio
sets) how would the other manuals in this series be listed? From the
operators level to the depot service level.. What changes in the numbers
to give you the other levels?

Would it be 5820-401-30 or change to 5820-402 ????

How are the numbers assigned to be able to get a complete set on a
specific topic or piece of equipment?

Thanks
Chris
