Most of the 5 tons I've driven are gutless right after shifting to 4th gear.
It's just too big of a jump in the gearing and the engine is below it's torq
curve thus no power untill it picks up a few rpms. My Mack does ok at low
rpms but the cummins and multi fuel take some time to pick up speed. If you
have not changed your fuel filter in a while it could help. Good luck.
