Not to beat a dead horse anymore. But I would be curious on why the
piston is stuck in the first place. I have an engine with this problem..
Which I just dealt with. I tore down the motor to check it out. In my
case, I already knew what was up, and planned on the tear down anyways.
Rust was my case. I had a motor that was stored outside for over 10
years. I tore it down to the bare block, and pulled the head (straight 4)
and sure enough. 2 of the cylinders has rust on the walls. Well we all
know that the pistons need to come out via where the head it. So I pulled
the crank, and pushed the pistons down as far as they would go torwards
the crank. Then I used a hone on a drill to knock out enough of the rust
to carefully remove the pistons w/o damaging them or the wall too much.
All in all I'll need to bore the walls down by 10 and replace the pistons.
But I have a perfectly good set of 20 under pistons now I'll use for a
future motor. Bottom line is if you think the stuck piston can be rust,
I'd really plan on a tear down. Then the lube is good to help lessen the
damage.

Just my $.02 ...
