My #2 gen glows red when heater fan is on high. Also, beware of rust. It
starts at rear wheel wells, forward of the wheel wells, door jams, etc.
Mine is showing split cracked metal in body on driver side just past door.
That doesn't count the rear gate which rusts where felt pad holds water
inside tailgate behind window crank.

Subject: [MV] My new M1009

I just got home from a trip to get my new M1009... just drove 1100+ miles
from Kansas to NY with no problems at all.

Only thing I noticed that I want to question is the Gen 2 light started
coming on... started to only come on at first in conjunction with the
signal lights. Then it started to come on any time I did anything that drew
power. Got to the point where it was on almost constant, and would blink
out about every 2 seconds or so for about a second. Odd thing is the volt
gauge was always fine. Does anyone have any ideas? I checked the
connections on both alternators as best as I could. I don't even know which
one is #2... it didn't act strange at all... just the light would come on
and go out.

Thanks
Mike

Now to plan the 'repaint' to get rid of the white....
