Well I finally got it going. It turns out the 'rotor' was bad.... $180
later I have a working model again, and a bunch of spare parts that were
good apparently.

What a pain!!!

BTW I still get the gen2 light flicker sometimes..

Quite possibly did they ground it on the isolated ground post? Julian
