All my WW2 HMV are marked (that apply and could have been used by) as
belonging to the
291st Combat Engineers in honor of their heroic defense in the Battle of the
Bulge and in building
the M2 Treadway bridge across the Rhine at Remagen, 60 years ago this week.
Last night I got to talk to Col David Pergrin himself on the phone. I
thanked him and told him
that at least some people remember what they did..... and that I personally
honor them by labeling
my vehicles as 291st.
