Hi Mike,

I've eaten MREs from the old, old days on and off in the past few months
while "out in the woods" and most tasted just fine. I have a case of
Vietnam era "C" rations that I kept from Fort Hood. Traded a REMF a couple
of things for a ton of Cs and still have the one case. When I was in
Vietnam we actually had some Cs from WWII and they were fine. You just made
sure not to eat or even open any that the cans were bulged in any way! I
tell you one thing for sure, the cigarettes from the WWII Cs were something
else to smoke! The Kools gave a real "buzz"!

Regards,

Ed
