I agree with you on this. Plus I think that the bottom is pretty much going
to fall out of the large truck market as diesel starts edging up to 3.00 a
gallon this summer. I was looking at a nice 923 but now plans have
changed. Regular guys like us are going to be out of the ball park with the
big stuff. It was fun having 4 deuces over the years but I am going to
stick the the small 5/4 ton and down vehicles now.

I think you will find a M151 is worth a lot more $ than a deuce. Last year
I could have bought a ready to drive anywhere deuce (needed paint) for $2500
at the Lowell, MA flea market put on by the MVMVC. I've seen Mutts in same
condition go for $45-$6500. Rewelds are in the $5-$6000 I know also of a
couple $8-$10,000 sales of Mutts in vg condition. The cheapest I have seen a
Mutt go for without bad rust was $4000

 This is for those who are in the New England area. I too would like to
trade a deuce for a M151 for equal value. I have a 1971 M35A2 w/w that I
just painted last fall in semi gloss OD and is in accurate Vietnam Markings
for a Transportation Unit in the Highlands. (541st trans co)

It currently in the put back together stage before the Winter hit me. It
has a NOS canvas top and exhaust from the muffler on out. If she doesent go
this spring, you can see her on her "for sale" tour at the Green Mountain
Military Vehicle Club Rally in Northfield VT JULY 7-9 and Possibly at the
Weare NH show.
