A lister inquired as to the availability of hard tops for a 5-ton. Here is
the answer:

John Tennis has created a mold and is making heavy-duty fiberglass roofs for
the M-series cabs. (2.5, 5, and 10 ton) They are meticulously laid up
similar to a boat hull. I have seen
these, and they are beautifully made.

You can order them from Spruce Mountain, www.sprucemtsurplus.com, my
company,
(www.M35products.com) or directly from John. He can be reached via email at
jatonka@telenet.net.

The price for a top is $695 plus $130 if you want a rear window. It comes in
an
anodized black aluminum frame. The hardtop installation kit includes sealant
strips front and rear, and self-drilling screws. This price compares very
favorably with a NOS mil-spec one, if you can even find one.

Because of its size, and to limit shipping damage by the "size 54 jackets
with the size 2 hats",
John prefers to deliver the tops personally. There is an added crating
charge if they
are to be delivered by common carrier. We suggest that if you are
interested, that you get a couple of guys to buy some, so that the delivery
charges would be lowered considerably.
