I've used jet fuel for years in my diesels with never a problem. When I was
gainfully employed at a major airline BEFORE all the new "security"
measures, we would put all the sump drains into 55 gallon barrels and each
Mechanic would get to fill his/her vehicle with it. We did mix in some
Varsol for lubrication and I never heard of any problems from anyone.

Kerosene and diesel seem to work interchangeably
in diesel engines. The big difference being that
diesel has better lubrication qualities but a
greater quantity of waxes. Artic Diesel in fact
has a greater quantity of kerosene in it to keep
the system form gelling up.
