i have a pressure pot blaster that holds about 50 lb at a time, i got if
free by looking / asking around. it works great. i got a 10 hp / 43 cfm
V4 on a 120 gal tank for $200 the same way. it keeps up just great.

black beauty is a coal slag product and for the money is much better
than sand. most shops do not use sand, they use steel shot or aluminum
oxide.

for the time spent and the money involved i do not do anything larger
than a wheel or other small item. you can go to a commercial shop for
around $50 hour and their equipment will do much more, much faster, and
they can primer it immediately which is important.

just my 2¢
