Its a little more in depth than just which one. Do you want "in
country" ? Staeside ? Field uniform or other ?
my buddies up here who do Vietnam Re-enacting ( MV contnent, they use
my brothers M151A2 ) have a lot of knowledge about that era . They
educated me somewhat on the uniform I was wearing for vehicle displays.
Turns out I was wearing a really scarce pristine example of a "type II"
uniform. These had "asalnt" pockets, hidden buttons, etc. Complicated,
but they knew. Turns out I had come by them from my Dad who was there in
'65-'66.
Regular cotton fatigues can be found anywhere. The later Type III's
aren't hard to find either. UNLESS your an abnormaly large guy or
something else.
If you need, I can give you a number of one of these guys to 'splain it
further.
