Since this is for a fire dept, per chance, they weighed the truck with
full water tanks? That would account for the excessive weight. Water I
believe is 8.34 lbs per gallon, just do the math and subtract the
correct amount of water, paint a "Do not fill above this line" on the
tank and you should be good to go.
