I thought of that too with some of the Miltope etc. stuff at work, but then
you start trying to work out how to get the military OEM keyboard to work
like a 101 key IBM type without having to mickey-mouse and jerry-rig
everything, and you start to consider the whole proposition a bit daunting.
I even thought of replacing the computersaurus rex-type monochromatic
displays with something out of some defunct 800x600 surplus Versa laptop or
similar - but again - wouzers - you'd be into a lot of reconfiguring/messing
around just to get it all to fit. Essentially, the only 'military' thing
you'd have left after you'd finished with the computery scalpel and forceps
is the green case itself.
