The flasher is usually mounted on the firewall somewhere. On my 2 1/2 ton it
was under the hood and on my MUTT it is under the dash. If your problem is
intermittent I would check the ground. Then I would try replacing the
flasher.. My MUTT would flash sometimes, I replaced the flasher box and the
problem has never returned
