I don't believe I see the word government in the above post. I might
put more Faith in a government rebuild than a Joe Blow rebuild. I know
I would use a government rebuild over one I personally did with NOS
parts if the price was the same. I was really just pointing out a third
option that should be just as good as the "average rebuild" and much
cheaper, but would carry a small risk.

And yes I was talking rebuilt transmissions in general. I believe that
there have been several posts on the list about locally rebuilt CUCV
transmissions failing rather quickly. I also know that mutts have
manual transmissions.
