All of my surplus 12V/24V Solargizers make an audible whine.
My 12V-only solargizers don't, though.
So, I'd say that some models whine, and some don't. I kinda like the
whiners, because it's easy to tell if they're getting enough sunlight to
run without digging out a meter, and whether the !%@$$!#$%^&!%%% rats
have chewed through the solar panel wiring yet. :-)
